Telephon9 is an American Electro Pop Trio from Detroit, Michigan. The group is composed of brothers; Chris Call, Jair Alexander, & Adari “BassMODE” Perkins. Their music is a mixture of old school analog sounds, fused with hard hitting modern electric dance beats. Producer/writer/vocalist, Chris Call has been trained in classical piano since the age of three and later won a full scholarship to study acting. Jair Alexander is the second vocalist/writer/producer of the trio who has been trained in theater, choral music and dance. The energy he brings to the stage through his choreography and crowd interactions get the people lifted and dancing. Adari “BassMODE” Perkins is the third vocalist/writer/producer of the trio who has been song writing & performing since the age of 10. Since a child, he watched his mother sing & write songs which naturally pushed him to fall in love with art of music; He has participating in choir, talent shows & band. The group has a deep love for all music. They’re influenced by the greats such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. They also get there inspiration from some of today’s top artists, like Black Eyed Peas, Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, and Outkast. Telephon9 aspires to make music that not only excites and entertains, but leaves an uplifting impact on those that lend their ears. Telephon9 has performed at different festivals such as Detroit River Days, Polar Palooza and the Ferndale Pride. In 2016, they toured throughout Michigan and to Harvard University to raise money for Relay Life; ending their tour at Hart Plaza performing for over 20,000 patrons at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. Telephon9 is set to open for Canadian electronic band, Austra at the Magic Stick in Detroit for their American leg tour in promotion for their new album, Future Politics (released by Domino Records).
