The focus is on the song in this intimate dialogue and performance by and with these ARISE favorites.
Elijah Ray is a PRODIGIOUS VOCALIST, COMPOSER, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, AND RECORDING ARTIST. Elijah is known for his pioneering heart and transformational music that crosses an insanely wide variety of genres…so the best way to describe it is: “Music that makes you feel really Good.“ His shining presence, gritty soul, and message of love invite the listener into an experience of what it is to be in the “BAND OF LIGHT’, and live a life as an embodied, awakening human.
Kat Wright has a voice that is both sultry and dynamic, delicate yet powerful, and gritty but highly emotive and nuanced, has been described as “a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse”. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination of feline femininity proves immediately enchanting.
Shane Burke is a gifted singer songwriter from Baltimore Md. Self taught, he plays many instruments including piano, drums, bass, guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and anything else he can get his hands on. His latest offering is an LP titled “Say” his fourth official release since parting ways with international touring band Brickfoot. As far as Shane’s overall sound, it can only be described as some sort of common ground between the sweet sacredness of Jeff Buckley and the gritty soul of Otis redding; Executed in a manner The Beatles would be proud of….Shane has not only enjoyed success in the studio, but also on stage; having shared the spotlight with such legends at Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band, and Chuck Mangione… Even Ringo Starr, drummer of The Beatles upon hearing Shane’s music is in his own words “a fan”! Shane’s music has recently been featured on the TV show “Graceland” (Now available on Netflix! season 2, episode tinkerbell, right in the beginning after the last week’s recap). Also look for Shane’s music in the upcoming season of “Velvet”! Shane has recently signed a 3 year exclusive publishing contract with Sony BMG.
