Jade Wells

a review of my latest vinyl record release from NEST HQ (Skrillex’s parent company):
“JADE WELLS TRANSCENDS GARAGE AND MINIMAL TECHNO ON ‘STARING AT THE SUN’”
“Jade Wells enters a dimension of tribal, other-worldly beats with a sound that transcends minimal techno garage music while retaining many of their sonic elements. This is the kind of music you want to hear at dawn as the sun starts to creep in over a camping festival where you’re in the company of great friends, all three tracks of the Staring at the Sun EP have a timeless atmosphere to them even though they’re all very different. “Full Circle” is downright Tycho-esque while title single has a more winding, meandering progression to it. The third track “Austah” has a fatter, more expansive sound than the other two that has the effect of building mounting tension in anticipation of Jade’s next release. If you’re a fan of transformational festivals or modern-day hippies in general you will absolutely adore this.”
