Groove Medical Services


A MESSAGE FROM THE ARISE FAMILY AND GROOVE MEDICAL SERVICE
Below are a few helpful tips to keep you in the “Groove!” 

  1. BE HEALTHY
  • Drink plenty of liquid. (If you feel thirsty, drink water).
  • Get plenty of sleep/rest.
  • Bring earplugs. You will sleep better for it.
  • Eat healthy food and snacks (available from Tasty ARISE food vendors).
  • Don’t overdo it and pace yourself.
  • Don’t mix and dance: mixing substances can cause all kinds of problems. “Don’t be that person!”
  1. BE PREPARED BY BRINGING THE APPROPRIATE ITEMS
  • Closed toe shoes
  • Clothing for the elements
  • Shelter
  • Water containers
  • Basic First aid kit. (Ibuprofen and other over the counter medications, Band-Aids, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Antibiotic ointment).
  • Any medications you made need.
  • Personal Shade (Hat, Sunglasses, umbrella).
  • Flash Light/Head lamp and batteries.

  1. BE AWARE
  • Know the festival layout.
  • Know where to seek help. Groove Medical Services tent located next to the main entrance of the concert bowl.
  • Check the weather forecast before packing to leave home, and pay attention to storms, wind, and lightning.
  • In the event of hazardous weather be prepared to take shelter in your or your friends vehicle.
  • Know how to identify your campsite during the day and in the dark, and know the fastest way to get to your vehicle in the event of a lightning storm.
  1. BE SMART
  • Don’t take candy from strangers
  • Keep all valuables locked safely in your vehicle
  • Don’t let yourself get dehydrated or sleep deprived.
  1. BE GREEN
  • ARISE is a leave no trace event.
  • Come prepared with your own reusable bottles for water, garbage, recycling and compost bags for your campsite
  • Do not discard cigarette butts on the ground. – “Don’t be that person.”
  • Be good stewards of the land and leave the Sunrise Ranch Cleaner than when you arrived.
  1. BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR
  • Please be aware of those around you, whether in the concert bowl or the campgrounds.
  • Be quiet during quiet hours in the campground.
  • Be sensitive to those around you trying to sleep or relax

  • Have a buddy system
  • Look out for each other
  • Have great time
