Freedom and Lawlessness (Jayce Cabell) is a rapper, producer, and promoter, who was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Denver, Colorado in his youth. At 12 years old, with nothing but a low budget computer in the apartment he shared with his mom, he began writing and recording his own freestyles, raps, and eventually full length songs. Years later, F.L.’s thought-provoking lyricism and mesmerizing instrumentals have established him as an influential player in the Denver music scene.

As a member of the renowned rap group The Foodchain, signed to Showoff Digital, DJ Statik’s label, F.L. recorded songs with hip hop giants like Talib Kweli, Rass Kass, and Raekwon. After going solo, he became a Red Bull Sound Select artist, and later started his own record label, Young Amsterdam, that supports up-and-coming local artists. His musical talent and influence in the Denver music scene has been highlighted in publications like 2DOPEBOYZ, Culture Magazine, and Westword.
